you’ll learn how to:

• Identify the difference between "what happened" and "what matters"

• Turn emotion and interiority into vivid, engaging scenes

• Write about heartbreak without sounding cliché, generic, or bitter

• Add details that draw people in, making them feel like they're along for the ride

• Play with structure, form, and grammar to create voicey writing that's recognizably you.

 

You’ll leave with a clear starting point, the beginning of a piece you can keep developing, and an understanding of how to shape memoir.
